Cookie Policy
This page lists every cookie and every other kind of browser storage HomeVault uses.
Strictly necessary
- HVSESSID — a session cookie set when you open the app. It keeps you signed in and holds a random security token that stops other websites from submitting forms in your name. It is marked HttpOnly (page scripts cannot read it) and SameSite=Lax, is sent only over secure connections when the site uses HTTPS, and expires when you close your browser. Signing out ends the session it belongs to.
That is all. HomeVault does not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies, does not use local storage or other browser storage, and does not load fonts, scripts or images from other companies. Because only a strictly necessary cookie is used, there is no cookie banner to accept.
Other companies
- Stripe. When you choose a paid plan you are taken to Stripe Checkout or the Stripe billing portal on Stripe's own website, where Stripe sets the cookies it needs for secure payments and fraud prevention under its own cookie policy. Nothing from Stripe loads inside HomeVault itself.
Global Privacy Control
We honor Global Privacy Control signals. Because we use no tracking, a GPC signal does not change how the app works. Your browser is not sending a Global Privacy Control signal right now.
Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie you will not be able to sign in, because the app cannot confirm that requests come from you.
If we ever add an optional cookie, we will update this page first and ask for your consent before it is set.
