Strictly necessary

These keep the site secure and working. They do not track you and do not need your consent.

• swsid — a session cookie set when you open a page with our contact or request form, and when our own staff sign in to the site's admin. It holds a random security token that stops other websites from submitting the form in your name. It is deleted when you close your browser.

• kokopelli-trail-checks (stored in your browser, not a cookie) — remembers which items you ticked on the Trail Ready pre-trip checklist. It stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is cleared with "Reset checklist" or by clearing your browser data.

That is all. This site does not use analytics, advertising or social media cookies, does not load fonts or scripts from other companies, and shows a map from Google only if you click "Load map".

Maps

Our contact details include a "Load map" button. Nothing is loaded from Google until you click it. When you do, Google Maps loads inside the page and Google may set its own cookies under its privacy policy. The "Get directions" links simply open Google Maps or Apple Maps in a new page.

Managing cookies

Your browser lets you block or delete cookies. If you block the strictly necessary cookie, our form will ask you to try again because it cannot confirm the request came from you.
