This website

This website does not use advertising trackers and does not ask you to create an account. Our web host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to keep the site running and secure.

Google Analytics (only if you agree)

We use Google Analytics to see which pages help people, but only if you click Accept analytics in the cookie bar. If you choose No thanks or don't choose, it never loads.

When you agree, Google Analytics collects the pages you visit, your approximate location (such as your city or region; it does not store your IP address), your device and browser, and how you arrived at the site, and it sets its own cookies (listed in our Cookie Policy). Google processes this data for us as our service provider. We do not use it for advertising, we have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, we keep it for no more than 14 months, and we never sell it.

To change your choice, click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. You can also block cookies in your browser or install Google's Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

The pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When they do, your browser contacts Google's servers, which receive your IP address. See Google's privacy policy for details.

When you contact us

The contact and project forms send what you type (your name if you give it, your email address, the topic, product and message) to us through our own server so we can reply. To stop spam, the server briefly keeps a scrambled record of the sending computer's network address. When you write to us we use your address and message only to reply, to send a license key you bought or to tell you about the product you asked about. We do not sell or rent your information.

Payments

Payments are handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not see or store your full card number.

Our Mac apps

Our Mac apps keep your data on your Mac unless a feature clearly says otherwise (for example, the Bug Out Communicator relay, which carries encrypted audio). Each app's help explains where its data is stored.

Subscription web apps

HomeVault, LedgerPro, RentRoll and ShopTorque store the information you enter so the service can work. Each web app has its own privacy details inside the app.

Your choices

Send us a message to ask what we hold about you, to correct it or to have it deleted. You can turn Google Analytics on or off at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page.
