1. Scope and Who We Are
Streetwise Software Online provides website design, software development, digital tools, creative services, online media projects, downloads, support, and related online products and services. In this policy, “Streetwise,” “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to Streetwise Software Online.
This policy applies to Streetwise-operated websites and services that link to or display this policy. A client website or separate project may have its own privacy notice when its data practices differ.
2. Personal Data We Collect

3. How We Use Personal Data
- Provide, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve our websites, software, files, downloads, and customer projects.
- Respond to messages, quote requests, support requests, bug reports, and project communications.
- Authenticate users and protect accounts, systems, files, and administrative functions from unauthorized access, fraud, scraping, spam, malware, and abuse.
- Process transactions and maintain business, tax, accounting, legal, security, and dispute-resolution records.
- Publish content when you ask or authorize us to display it publicly.
- Comply with applicable law, lawful requests, and our contractual obligations.
We seek to collect data that is reasonably necessary for these stated purposes and avoid using personal data for materially unrelated purposes without an appropriate legal basis, notice, or consent when required.
4. Passkeys and Administrative Authentication
Authorized administrators may optionally register WebAuthn passkeys. Streetwise stores the credential identifier, public-key material, signature-counter information, a user-selected label, and limited authenticator metadata needed to verify the credential. The private key remains controlled by the authenticator.
If your device uses a fingerprint, face scan, device PIN, or similar method to unlock a passkey, that local verification is performed by your device or authenticator. Streetwise does not receive or store your fingerprint, face template, or other biometric template through WebAuthn.
Password login remains available unless an account owner separately enables the optional passkey second-factor setting for that account. One-time recovery codes, when enabled, are stored only as one-way hashes after the codes are first shown to the administrator.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Universal Opt-Out Signals
The main Streetwise website may use session cookies, local storage, standard server logs, and similar technologies for functionality, authentication, preferences, troubleshooting, and security.
Current main-site practice: Streetwise Software Online does not sell personal data and does not currently process personal data on this main website for targeted advertising. If those practices change, we will update this notice and implement any legally required opt-out controls before using the new practice.
Where the Colorado Privacy Act applies, we recognize a valid Universal Opt-Out Mechanism, including Global Privacy Control (GPC), for legally applicable opt-outs from sale or targeted advertising. Because the current main site does not perform those activities, there is presently no sale or targeted-advertising processing to disable when such a signal is received.
6. When We Share Personal Data
We do not sell personal data. We may disclose limited personal data to the following categories of recipients when reasonably necessary:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that operate servers, networks, backups, or domain services.
- Payment processors that handle a transaction you initiate.
- Email and communications providers used to deliver messages or support communications.
- Technical/security providers used for maintenance, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, or security.
- Professional advisers or authorities when disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, investigate fraud or abuse, or address a security incident.
- The public only for content you submit or approve for public publication, such as a business name, artist name, media, description, or link.
- A successor organization if a business, website, service, or relevant assets are transferred, subject to applicable law.
The categories of personal data shared depend on the purpose and may include contact data, transaction records, submitted project content, or limited technical/security data. We do not intentionally disclose more data than reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose.
7. Data Retention and Disposal
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide an active service, maintain required business records, protect security, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
- Ordinary contact/support messages may be retained while a request or business relationship remains active and for a reasonable recordkeeping period afterward.
- Project files may be kept for the active project and a reasonable support/backup period unless a contract requires a different period.
- Transaction and tax/accounting records may be retained for the period required by applicable recordkeeping laws.
- Security logs may be retained for a reasonable period needed to investigate incidents, identify repeated abuse, and document security events.
- Account authentication records remain while the account is active and are removed or de-identified when no longer reasonably necessary, subject to legal/security needs.
When personal data is no longer reasonably needed, we use reasonable methods to delete, destroy, or de-identify it, subject to backup cycles and lawful retention requirements.
8. Colorado and Other Privacy Rights
Where the Colorado Privacy Act or another applicable privacy law gives you rights, you may be entitled to request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate personal data, deletion, a portable copy, and opt-out of sale, targeted advertising, or certain profiling. Streetwise may also honor reasonable privacy requests voluntarily when a particular statutory threshold does not apply.
Submit a request by emailing joni@streetwisesoftware.online with the subject Privacy Request, or use the main website contact form and select a privacy-related message. You do not need to create a new account solely to submit a privacy request.
We may request information reasonably necessary to verify that the requester is the person whose data is involved or is an authorized agent. Where the Colorado Privacy Act applies, we generally respond without undue delay and within 45 days; when reasonably necessary, that period may be extended by an additional 45 days with notice and an explanation.
9. Privacy Appeals
If we decline a privacy-rights request and applicable law gives you a right to appeal, reply to our decision or email joni@streetwisesoftware.online with the subject Privacy Appeal. Describe the original request and why you believe the decision should be reconsidered.
Where the Colorado Privacy Act applies, the appeal process is intended to be as easy to use as the original request process. We will provide a written response within 45 days after receiving an appeal; when reasonably necessary, that period may be extended by up to 60 additional days with notice and an explanation. If an appeal is denied, we will tell you how to contact the Colorado Attorney General about the result.
10. Children and Colorado Minors
The main Streetwise Software Online business website is a general-audience website and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child under 13 through the main site without legally required parental authorization.
Colorado law provides enhanced protections when an online service, product, or feature is offered to a consumer the controller actually knows, or willfully disregards, is a minor. If that situation applies to a Streetwise service, we will use the legally required protections for the minor's data, including reasonable care, purpose and retention limits, and consent where required. The current main site does not knowingly sell a minor's personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or use it for consequential profiling.
11. Sensitive Personal Data
The main Streetwise business website is not intended for collecting highly sensitive personal data through the general contact form. Please do not send government identification numbers, account passwords, full payment-card numbers, medical records, precise geolocation data, biometric identifiers, biological or neural data, or similar sensitive information unless a specific Streetwise service expressly requests it through an appropriate protected workflow.
The optional passkey feature does not transmit a fingerprint, face template, or other biometric template to Streetwise; any device biometric used to unlock a passkey is handled locally by the user's authenticator. If a future Streetwise service directly collects or processes sensitive personal data in a manner that requires consent, a retention policy, an assessment, or another specific protection under applicable law, we will implement the required process and update the applicable privacy notice before that processing begins.
12. Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal data appropriate to the nature of the information and the service. Measures on the main website include HTTPS, access controls, one-way password hashing, session protections, login throttling, CSRF protection for authenticated administrative changes, security-event logging, restricted data directories, file validation, and optional passkey authentication.
No website or storage system can promise absolute security. If you believe an account or Streetwise system may have been compromised, contact us promptly and change affected credentials.
13. Security Incidents and Breach Response
If we learn of a suspected security incident involving personal information, we will investigate and take reasonable steps to contain the incident, restore system integrity, preserve relevant information, and provide legally required notifications within applicable time limits.
14. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our sites may link to third-party websites, hosting services, payment providers, social networks, music platforms, customer sites, or other services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices and are not controlled by this policy. Review a third party's privacy terms before providing information directly to that service.
15. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when our services, technology, data practices, or legal obligations change. The “Last Updated” date identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice when required by applicable law.
