Estimates, Deposits & Cancellations
How cancellations, refunds and changes work.
Effective October 19, 2026
Restoration work is planned and priced job by job. This policy explains estimates, deposits, changes and cancellations. Your signed agreement for a project wins if it says something different.
Estimates and agreements
- Site visits and written estimates are provided before any work starts. Estimates stay valid for 30 days unless they say otherwise.
- Work begins only after you sign a written agreement that lists the scope, price, payment schedule and any allowances.
- Changes you ask for, or hidden conditions we find (rot, wiring, structural damage), are written up as a change order with the price before that work is done.
Deposits
- A deposit may be required to reserve your start date and order materials. The amount is shown in your agreement.
- If you cancel before materials are ordered, the deposit is refunded in full.
- After that, we refund the deposit minus the cost of materials already bought that the supplier will not take back, and any design or permit fees already paid. We give you the receipts and any materials you have paid for.
Canceling or pausing work
- You can cancel within the period allowed by any applicable home-solicitation law, and otherwise by giving us written notice. You pay for work done and materials bought up to that point.
- If we must delay a start date, we tell you as early as we can; you may cancel without charge if the delay is more than 30 days.
Warranty
Any workmanship warranty is stated in writing in your agreement. Manufacturers' warranties on products we install pass to you.
