Different timelines create different care needs
A short stay and a long-term boarding arrangement may involve many of the same fundamentals, but the planning can be very different. Owners should discuss arrival and departure dates, feed transitions, medication timing, farrier or veterinary appointments, exercise expectations, owner access and emergency instructions before the stay begins.
Short-term boarding
Temporary care may be useful during travel, a move, a family emergency or another transition. Availability and minimum-stay requirements must be confirmed directly with the sanctuary.
Long-term boarding
Longer arrangements benefit from a written plan for routine care, communication, health changes, owner-supplied items and review points. The sanctuary owner's confirmed policies and pricing will be added here when the boarding questionnaire is complete.
