The Technology Department at Holsteins 'n Horses functions as the sanctuary's in-house technical operations team. It brings together volunteer IT staff, paid technical support supplied through Streetwise Software Online, web and software specialists, designers, and photographers who work directly with the farm. The department keeps the sanctuary's computers, software, data systems, website, store and digital tools dependable, secure and ready for daily operations.
The sanctuary’s technology program is maintained as an operational department, not simply as a website service. Its purpose is to keep the digital systems behind animal care, communication, fundraising and everyday administration organized, serviceable and secure.
The technology team combines hands-on equipment support with software administration, cybersecurity, digital publishing, design, photography and systems development.

Supports technical documentation, backups, recovery planning and controlled administrative access so critical digital systems are easier to maintain, repair and restore when equipment or software changes.
The Animal Care Database organizes the information the sanctuary needs to maintain an accurate working record for each animal. Authorized users can keep identity and species information, age and arrival details, rescue history, current condition or status, current care needs, medical-care notes and approved images together in one structured record. As information changes, authorized team members update the record so the sanctuary is not relying on scattered notes or outdated copies. The Technology Department maintains the software, data integrity, access and technical continuity of the system; animal-care decisions remain with the sanctuary care team, and veterinary diagnosis and treatment remain with qualified veterinary professionals.
Current systems include an owner-controlled website and admin platform, editable animal profiles, controlled media management with recoverable trash, the Animal Care Database, secure administration and audit tools, campaign management with timed rotation, online store and donation integrations, mobile-friendly visitor tools, backups and recovery controls, and an expanding set of internal software maintained for sanctuary operations.
Streetwise Software Online is the primary technology company supporting the department's paid technical services and works alongside the sanctuary's volunteer technology team and creative contributors. Together, the group provides a specialized technical resource for Holsteins 'n Horses while keeping day-to-day control of sanctuary content and operations with the sanctuary owner.
