Calm, considered landscapes for a valley that sees about nine inches of rain a year.
High Desert Xeriscape Co. is a small design-build studio in Grand Junction, a few minutes below the Colorado National Monument. We draw every project by hand first, then our own crew builds it: the grading, the stone, the drip lines and the planting.
Our gardens borrow their palette from the land around us: sandstone and rust from the canyon walls, sage and silver from the desert flats, and the long blue light that settles over the Bookcliffs at dusk. The result is a yard that looks intentional in every season and needs far less water than a lawn.

A 90-minute on-site consultation. We listen, measure, photograph and talk honestly about budget.

Concept, revisions and final drawings, with a plant palette and a fixed build proposal.

Our own crew grades, sets stone, installs drip and lighting, and plants, usually in one to four weeks.
