Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to a website everyone can use, and how to get help.
Effective October 19, 2026
Cocina Sol de Mesa wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or voice control.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site has been tested with automated accessibility checks on phones and desktop screens, and by hand with a keyboard.
What we have done
- Text and buttons meet color-contrast guidelines, and focus is always visible.
- Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, and starts with a "Skip to content" link.
- Images have text descriptions; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
- Pages use proper headings, landmarks and labeled form fields, and form errors are announced.
- Animation is reduced when your device asks for reduced motion.
- No content flashes, and nothing times out while you are reading.
Known limits
Maps from Google, which load only if you choose to show them, are run by Google and may not be fully accessible; the street address and plain directions links are always provided as text next to them.
