Where can I find authentic Mexican food near Grand Junction?
Right here on Aspen Avenue in downtown Fruita, about 15 minutes west of downtown Grand Junction on I-70. We cook regional dishes from Oaxaca, Jalisco and Michoacán, with corn tortillas pressed by hand all day.
Do I need a reservation, or can we walk in?
Walk-ins are always welcome. We recommend reserving for parties of six or more, weekend almuerzo and patio tables at sunset. Use the request form on this page or give us a call.
Is there patio dining near the Colorado National Monument?
Yes. Our dog-friendly patio faces west toward the Monument, a short drive from the park's Fruita entrance. Misters run in July and heaters come on in the spring and fall.
Do you have vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options?
Plenty. Many dishes are made without gluten thanks to our corn tortillas, and every section has vegetarian and vegan dishes, clearly marked on the menu. Our kitchen is shared, so please tell your server about allergies or celiac disease.
Is your restaurant kid-friendly?
Absolutely. We have high chairs, smaller plates for little appetites and free agua fresca refills for kids.
