The sample company “Grand Valley Builders (Sample)” loads the first time you open the app, with a commercial project, an estimate, change orders, pay apps, daily logs, a schedule and a plan sheet. You can load it again any time from Go › Load Sample Company.

Yes. Pick the company from the Company menu in the header. Each company has its own projects, contacts, cost codes and users.

Owner, PM, Accounting, Field and Subcontractor. The left rail and screens are filtered by role, so field staff see field tools and accounting sees the money screens.

Each line is quantity × unit cost. Markup applies to the subtotal; tax applies to the subtotal plus markup.

You set one retainage percent for completed work and another for stored materials. Retainage on work uses previous plus this period; retainage on stored materials uses the stored amount. The G702 summary shows both (lines 5a and 5b), the total retainage, less previous certificates and the current payment due.

For an owner change order, the contract amount and the budget update and a line is added to the schedule of values. Setting it back removes that SOV line.

JobSite Pro exports files for you to import: IIF for invoices, pay apps and bills, and CSV for customers, vendors, payments and job cost. It doesn't connect to QuickBooks directly.

The app makes conditional and unconditional, progress and final waivers. Some states (AZ, CA, FL, GA, MI, MS, MO, NV, TX, UT, WY) require their own statutory wording — the app shows a red warning for those. Have your attorney review any form before you use it.

Everything is stored on your Mac in a local database, and the app works fully offline. Nothing is sent to a cloud service. The only time it goes online is to confirm your license now and then.

Use File › Back Up Everything… (⇧⌘B) to save a .zip, and File › Restore From Backup… on the other Mac. File › Export Company as CSV Folder… saves a folder of spreadsheets.

Every record has a PDF button — estimates and proposals, change orders, pay apps (G702/G703), invoices, waivers, daily logs, schedules and more. Documents can also be saved as Word (.docx).

Pick one of six themes from the swatches in the header or View › Theme: Gunmetal Blue, Anodized Red, Rose Gold, Lavender Violet, Black Chrome or Graphite Gray. Interface zoom goes from 85% to 200% (⌘= ⌘− ⌘0) and also applies to the Help window.

15 days with everything turned on. Afterwards the app locks and asks for a license key; your data can still be opened and exported, but you can't add or change anything until you enter a key.

Choose SWSO JobSite Pro › Enter License Key…, paste the whole key (it starts with SW1-) and click Activate. No internet is needed to activate.

On the old Mac choose Deactivate on This Mac, then enter the key on the new one. Lost your key? Use “Find my license key” on streetwisesoftwareonline.com or send us a message.
